Arrival
Doors open at 8:00 am. Children May Not be dropped off
before this time.
Classes start at 9:00 am for all children. All children
must be in the center no later than 9:00am.
We will not accept any child who is 15 minutes late for
more than five days. If you are going to be late for any
reason, please call the center as soon as possible and
let us know in advance.
If your child will be arriving late to school please
schedule drop off during the morning hours until lunch,
or after rest time. Dropping off at rest time or lunch
can be disruptive to the rest of the classroom. If you
arrive late with your child make sure to say a quick
goodbye at the door so as not to disrupt classes already
in progress.
When you arrive at the center in the morning, we ask you
to consider the following:
Please accompany your child into the classroom to greet
the Teacher.
This helps your child settle in for the day.
Independence is an important part of our daily
curriculum. We ask that parents encourage their child to
put away their belongs such as their lunch box, coat etc
Please remember to sign in all information in the log
book in the front entrance of the school every day .
Notify the Teacher of any problems or concerns your
child may be experiencing that day.
(Slight illness, loss of a pet, new sibling, special
accomplishments etc)
When you are ready to leave, please say goodbye to your
child, even if the separation is difficult.
Dismissal
The center closes at 5:30 PM
All children are expected to be pick up before 5:30 PM
if you are still on the premises when the staff lock the
doors at 5:30 PM you will be considered late. In order
to avoid this we encourage parents to arrive at the
center to pick up their child no later than 5:20 PM.
Please do not involve the staff in lengthy
conversations, as much as we want to discuss issues of
concern we also want to leave work on time.( Please call
the office to make an appointment or you can call to
speak with your child's teacher between 1:30PM and 2:45
PM) The late fee does not compensate for making us late
for the commitments we have after 5:30 PM. (caring for
our children, doctors appointments, getting to classes
on time, etc)
When you are coming to pick up your child please sign
him/her out. If you are going to be late, please notify
the center so that your child and the staff will know
when to expect you.
Late Fees & Policy
There is a $10.00 fee for every 10 minute period of
tardiness. The first late pick up is excused . If you
have one late pick up on file, you will be charged on
your second. After three offenses you will be charged
$15.00 dollars for every 10 minute period of tardiness.
The are no excused pick ups on the Eve's of Thanksgiving
and Christmas and the charge is $30.00 dollars for every
10 minute period of tardiness. All late pick up
fees are due at the time of pick up and paid directly to
the teacher that stayed with your child. You will also
have to sign the late pick up log.
